April 2007

Yesterday I was one of the first visitors to my mother’s and Hans’ newly acquainted house in Oirschot. And I have to be honest, even though the house itself is a little smaller than the one they were living in before I really like this one. It has a coziness about it somehow, really very neat. Feels right at home for some reason, almost as if I’d been there before.

The area it’s situated in is also very nice, quiet and filled with nature (supergreen!) which makes the overall picture complete. The trip getting there will take some getting used to but that’s just a matter of going there often (oh well :-) and it’ll make sense over time.

Congratulations on this choice you two, may you have a very good time there.

For the first time in little over two weeks now I’ve woken up without a headache. I can’t even begin to describe what a enormous difference a clean start like this makes for a day.

Without thinking I opened my double layered curtains and looked straight into the lovely sunshine (I can’t believe I just said that … :-) and could even take it for a a split second.

Yup, this will be a good day by any standard, no doubt about it.

My brother in law gave me a fine hint to pick up the writing a bit so here goes. Thanks bro ;-)

The new banner of the site is from the movie 300, based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller, the man on who’s novel the movie Sin City was also based.

Since my motivation in coming up with new banners all of the time is beginning to fade a bit I think I’ll keep changing the banner into bits from my favorite movies from now on. Seems like a nice idea and it’ll take me a while before running out of ideas.

300 is, in my humble opinion, an absolute must see. It’s a spectacle from start to finish and I loved every minute of it. King Leonidas is my new hero. What that man stood for is simply overwhelming. Go see it!
