Seems I’ve got the worst behind me now. Last nights sleep was good and this morning I got up feeling almost like my old self again. With the past week being a little restless inside I nearly forgot what that feels like and it’s a good feeling, I tell you.
So now I’m going to take things easy again today and get back in my old rhythm. I’m going over to my dad’s place around eleven to pick up Stevie. We’re going to watch the A1GP and Formula One that both take place this weekend so this should be fun and relaxing at the same time.
And me having the late shift next week, or at least the first two days of it, means that I can have another solid sleep before going back to work tomorrow.

Not felling a hundred percent yet but I’m slowly getting there again. Yesterday afternoon and evening were all but pleasant after my lunch started to live a life of it’s own. I was so glad to be in bed, like you won’t believe.
If today’s lunch is a bit kinder on my I should be fine by the end of the afternoon again, or at least that’s my ‘let’s just hope that’s how it is’ schedule. :-)
Maybe I should follow the example of a good friend and skip lunch all together. I may need to start having breakfasts then but at least lunch will not be causing me any problems any longer.

Snooker [8] Comments
My my, I threw away at least one and a possible second point with my snooker matches last night. I just couldn’t get it to run well for some reason. The slight headache that came up during the wait for my second frame didn’t help much either but I can play so much better than this.
My first frame was close during the first half, then we both started making mistakes and in the end I lost that one on the last pink. Could have gone either way. My second I lost simply because the other player was better (even though he wasn’t playing nearly as good as I’ve seen him play before), and I could (and should) have won the last frame, if I hadn’t presented my opponent the last few shots on a silver plate.
Honestly, I really don’t mind loosing a frame if the other player is simply better than me. But when I’m, like last night, missing shots someone like me should simply make eight out of ten times, it’s eating me inside. I used to be better at the ‘come on, you’re just having a bad day’ kind of approach, but lately I get very irritated with my game, and it doesn’t help when it happens during a serious match either.
They say better luck next time but I hope that I won’t be needing the luck part. Who knows, maybe it actually was just a bad day …
Whatever it was, after a night like this I was glad to be in bed and I have luckily been able to sleep away my headache so it’s not all bad I guess.

Although the Saturday was a normal day in terms of headaches (you’ll be surprised how many levels of ‘normal’ there are :-), I woke up with one yesterday morning again. A small one, but it was there nonetheless and kept nagging around in my head all day. Nothing I did made it go away or even seemed to dampen a bit until … I had my first cup of coffee, later in the afternoon.
You see over the past few weeks I’ve been drinking less and less coffee and more tea instead, just to cut down on the coffee factor. Although it’s nice and black and keeps you awake and stuff, it’s not all that good to drink it in large quantities. Or so they tell me. And maybe that rather radical change (people who know my previous coffee habits will have an idea of how just radical) was a bit too much for my internal system, resulting in it strongly protesting with headaches.
I seem to recall someone telling me that there’s a small level of caffeine in my Panadol aspirins too so that’s probably the reason why they usually help pretty well with small headaches, whereas normal aspirins just don’t seem to do anything at all for me. Turns out I’m just a ordinary coffee junk, and those Panadol’s are my daily fix … Sounds pretty bad, doesn’t it.
When it comes to delivering caffeine to my system, however, no (healthy) amount of Panadol’s can match up to a large mug of coffee of course. And yesterday afternoon I had my first damping mug of extra dark roast in two days again. Even before I finished the cup, I felt my headache slowly fade away and that’s when it hit me; I simply need this stuff.
So what I’ll do from now on is try and cut down on coffee anyway, but not the cold turkey way I’ve been doing it last week. I’ll just need to do this a bit more gradually so my mind, body and the people around me can get used to it in a smoother way. :-)
So … how was your weekend? :-D

Evenin’ folks!
Normally I stay pretty clear from spam and mail bombs but every now and then they somehow ‘find me’ (even though my email address is readable on this very page) and start spamming away.
Today was such a day and I received no less than 2364 emails, 20 of which I could actually use. Now my popularity may be growing slowly but this is a bit too much of a … bad thing.
Anyway, it was quickly resolved by a whopping 5 Outlook rules which went to work and promptly cleaned up the mess. Love how that works.
