I got a phone call from my sister today and she was struggling a bit with one of those (usually pretty useless) web-based html editor programs that you get with a web hosting package every once and a while. In the end it turned out that pressing the shift and ‘r’ key would optimize the picture and thus make things better.
That shift-r combination brought back a bunch of sweet memories from way back when I was still actively racing Grand Prix Legends. That game, or racing sim actually, displayed the 1967 Formula One season and those cars were pretty hard to drive.
When things got messed up, bent up or both, pressing the shift and ‘r’ key combination would reset the car, effectively bringing it back to live so to speak, so one could continue the race with brand new car.
I’ll should do a bunch of laps with GPL tomorrow, just writing about now it makes me wonder if it’ll still run, which most likely is the case, and if I still have a bit of the old skills needed to master those beasts on wheels (which, sadly, probably isn’t the case … ;-)
Have a nice evening.
